All Hail Honeysuckle, the 2011 Color Of the Year!

As the reign of 2010 Color of the Year Turquoise comes to an end, the design world is in hysterics (probably) over the official 2011 Pantone Color of the Year announcement: HONEYSUCKLE!

Honeysuckle is a reddish-pink that according to editoratlarge.com basically possesses magical powers and "elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life." However, it's the credit card version of the color that I'm most interested in. 

It's one of the five Pantone colors that you can get on a Visa Platinum credit card, and it's actually kinda cute. And, with an APR of 12.99% after six months at 0%, not a total rip off! (and no, this is not an ad!)
