[WHO GIVES A SHIT]: Do You Know How To Cook?

My oven has been on twice in the three years we've lived in our apt...and one out of the two times was because our dog sitter turned it on while we were away.

But I'm totally fascinated by how many design bloggers out there seem to be cooking their faces off...and posting beautiful pictures of food...and trying out new recipes. Why is this?

Now don't get me wrong, if I BUY some kickass food somewhere else, I can turn that shit out with a gorgeous table, flowers, the whole shebang. I just can't make any of that crap on my own.

PINTER-JUDGMENT

verb. The act of judging someone favorably or unfavorably based on their Pinterest boards.

"I hate to go there already with that new design blogger chick, but I pre-pinter-judged her boards, and they're totally amateur hour."

OR

"Based on my prelim pinter-judgment of the photo stylist's boards, she's completely legit...we share a white floor obsession."

I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with me, but I mostly hate like 9.9 out of 10 linen/bedding designs.

Now, solid colors are fine, obvies--it's mostly the pattern stuff. I'm not sure why this happens, but it happens to me like e-v-e-r-y single time I walk through the bedding dept of any major department store, Bed, Bath and Beyond, TJ Maxx or whatevs. I pretty much just wanna barf everywhere.

Case in point, here are samples from the first few pages of results on Bloomingdales.com:

LINKED: Saatchi Online

I found a killer new, reasonably priced, online art resource that I've become semi-obsessed with over the past week: Saatchi Online.

Started by the famous Saatchi gallery in London, the site is meant to give artists who are not repped by a gallery an opportunity to show and sell their artwork. And this works out pretty well for me, cause I kinda want to buy it all.

Prices vary greatly depending on the artist, but most of them seem to sell prints that are def affordable.

Here are some of my faves:
