[I'M OBSESSED: GUEST POST] Brass
Today's edish of "I'm Obsessed" comes from the lovely Tonia at Chic Modern Vintage!
I don’t know what it is about brass that draws me to it?...especially when I used to h-a-t-e it. It’s one of those things my Grandmother used to make us us clean, and she had a lot of it! But now, I love it--it’s something that I can’t explain. I just LOVE IT. Especially this vintage chest of drawers from Lawson Fenning: made of wood, brass sheet overlay and copper nailheads.
Since I love nature and anything the mimics it. This Curtis Jere brass tree would had a great decorative layer to just about any decor style.
Yet another weakness, lighting. These Koch & Lowry brass floor lamps would be a great addition to my home office that I’m trying to put together, but the $1450 price tag for these beauties will not work for my pocketbook and will not becoming home with me anytime soon. Though, I’m sure they’re well worth it.
Bookends by Aubock, They’re functional and decorative at the same time.
I just love these faux bamboo nesting tables, too. See the trend here. Bamboo, nature?
I could go on, and on and on with beautiful things made of brass, but I’ll end it here with these brass garden stools. I can’t even say that I’ve ever seen one personally in brass. Have you?
I recently began adding to the small collection that I already have. I’m really particular about what I collect. If I don’t get a certain feeling about a piece when I touch it. I don’t buy it. Strange? Well I can think of a lot of other things more strange, that you might do.
What is your current obsession?
Uhm, hello? Have you clicked on over to Chic Modern Vintage yet? Followed her on Twitter? WTF are you waiting for???
