[LINK'D] Blu Dot Wants Your Ridiculous Art Projects, Drug-Free Urine Samples

Modern furniture maker Blu Dot is hosting an online swap meet that allows you to trade your ridiculous art projects for a genuinely beautiful piece of their furniture.

How does it work?  You pick out any Blu Dot item you want, and then upload an interesting offer to the site (it can be a collection, art project, or something completely and totally ridiculous).  Users will vote on whether your upload is "swap-worthy" and at the end of the voting period, good golly, Bert, you might win an awesome piece of furniture in exchange from your bottle cap collection!   

I'm thinking this is a pretty brilliant idea, but the best part of all of this is to see WTF people are trying to swap in exchange for legit nice furniture.  

For those of you unfamiliar with Blu Dot, it's a modern furniture company that looks a lot like Ikea, but injects a little more personality into it by taking photos like this to show off their wares.

Who are these people?  Zack Galifjdskjaskldfja and a Jane Lynch wannabe?  Why are there roller skates next to the bed?  Is he planning on picking up Christina Ricci, taking her to the roller rink, and rollerskating to Journey, like that scene in my favorite romantic comedy, Monster?

Whatever the case: WIN.  Totally.

First up: a Sock Monkey Chair for a $1,000 bench. 

Or, how about a Spork Collection for a $600 desk chair?

Or, my personal favorite: drug-free urine for a $1,000 chair.  The drug-free urine may actually be more valuable than the chair, depending on how strict the rules are in your sober-living house.

Short story: I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS.
