On Being Bold

While I can't easily answer the question "what's my style," and seem to have an ever evolving, sometimes contradictory opinion about what I like and what I don't like, I'm increasingly coming to realize that 9 times out of 10, what really gives me a hard on is this: being bold.
It's hard to describe exactly what being bold even means, as of course, it's different for us all. But for me I feel like being bold often means doing the unexpected thing...the thing that most people wouldn't think of and even if they did, they'd be scared to actually do it.
Like a black fucking sink. I mean, who does that!? ROMAN AND WILLIAMS DO IT, BTCHZ, THAT'S WHO. And if that sink doesn't make you faint, than you smoke far too much weed. Cause come awn! It's epic!
And it's in a fairly traditional looking kitchen with simple white cabs, and hello = BOLD.
The cool thing about being bold is that you can achieve it in soooo many ways: through color, furniture, wallpaper, hardware...sky's the limit. It *is* tricky though, and I'm guessing that's why so many don't even bother to attempt it.
Anyway.
Here is some more bold shiz that I dig:
And, of course, the Grand Dame of Bold, Ms. Kelly Wearstler:
I'm realizing that in my next space, I def wanna go more on the bold tip.
