WANNA BLOG HARD? OR JUST SEE ME MAKE AN ASS OF MYSELF?
So, despite the fact that I have no clue what I'm doing half the time, I *do* always try to stay true to the mantra: Blog Hard.
Which is why I'm sort of stoked to be on a panel during Internet Week NY like this one: Blog Hard: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of Online Publishing.
It's hosted by the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and will be going down on Thursday, June 10 at 9am.
Mostly I'm excited because:
- I've successfully managed to convince at least one other person that I know what the fuck I'm talking about (no small feat).
- I'm on a panel with a crapload of other cool peeps who all DEF know what the fuck they're talking about: Brooklyn Based, Jauntsetter, Dan from VendrTV and Emily friggin Gould! (as in the former Gawker editor and recent author of the book And The Heart Says Whatever).
- I'm secretely fantasizing that a food truck, in the hopes of getting interviewed by Dan, will park itself outside of CUNY.
- ALL YOU BITCHES GET TO ASK US ALL THE QUESTIONS!
Here's the coolest part: even if you are not a blogger (LAME) and are not coming to the panel (TOTALLY LAME), we still want to hear from you. Ask us all of your burning questions about blogging, writing a blog, running a blog, hating your blog, dating people from your blog, fighting with people on your blog, using the most hated curse word in the title of your blog: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU WANNA KNOW.
We set up this handy dandy Google Moderator page, so you bitches can all go to town. Even more fun, other peeps can vote up their faves, or vote down the duds. You can even ask us shit all stealth anon if you want. If you DO have a Twitter handle though, please include it.
Ok, so to recap:
- Our BLOG HARD: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly of Online Publishing event is on June 10th at 9am at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. RSVP HURR.
- Whether you are going or not, if you've got questions for me or any of the other panelists, ask em HURR (and don't forget to come back and vote for your faves).
- Use the #bloghard hashtag on Twitter to start talking about this shit now...even if its to tweet out predictions of how badly my ass is gonna fuck this all up.
After our panel, there will be an hour of networking (with bagels-n-muffins-n-shit!). This will be the perf time to come and say hi, and tell me that the fact that I vomited on stage really didn't change the dynamic of the event *that* much.
See you there! (or not!). Who cares!
