[WHO GIVES A SHIT?] Design Bloggers-n-Photos

photo: Francois HalardSo, I'm curious: how do you all deal with photos on your blog? Cause this is like the one thing about being a design blogger that I haaaaaaaate.

I'm a writer...so its easy as pie for me to write shit all the live long day. But for some reason dealing with the whole photo thing on my blog makes me want to stomp on a kitten's head.

Where do you find photos? How do you search? Do you go to all the same places? Do you resize your photos? (and if so, what do you use?). Do you always include a certain number of photos in posts? Do you scan stuff from mags?

Here's what I typically do:

  1. See a photo on another blog that I love and get inspired to do a post.
  2. "Borrow" one of the photos from the other blogger and start looking for others to include in my post.
  3. Click my ass all over the internet and then get distracted with other posts/topics.
  4. I'm still not finding any photos, ppl.
  5. Get frustrated.
  6. Give up.

And don't even get me STARTED on mood-boards or photo round-ups. That's a whole other can of worms that makes me want scratch my eyeballs out.

As you can see, I need a new method to my madness.

There needs to be a Design Blogger 101 class on this shit, n'est-ce que pas?
