Who Gives A Shit: Honoring Those We Loved At Home?

So to get serious for just a lil min, I thought I'd use the fact that today was my mom's bday to talk about honoring those we loved around our homes (that's a pic of her!). My mom passed away a few years ago from a horrendous blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma (I've written a bit about it here and here, and was also lucky enough to be included in the Stand Up To Cancer special on TV where Halle Berry (!!??) read a little blurb about my mom Marcia--you can see it at 2:43 here).

Anyway, needless to say, I miss the shit out of her and still think about her every day. I have some fab photos of the two of us around our apartment (mostly from when I was younger, as I prefer to remember her looking young and vivacious, ya know?).

But I'm curious, aside from the obvious framed photo approach, what things others have you done around your homes to remember those we've loved who have passed away?

I'm not much of a scrapbooker, so that's out, but lately I've been thinking of turning one of my fave pics into a piece of artwork, perhaps? Any other ideas?
