[COLOR CODED] We All Live in a Yellow Submarine

The very idea of color coding may be as lame as Sandra Lee's tablescapes (Vicodin much?), but WE DON'T CARE.

Color Coded is a series where we pick out cool design stuff based on color.  Awww yeah, Rosa Parks—it feels like 1960's Birmingham up in here. LET'S GO!

1. Wrongwoods Chest of Drawers (Matter, $3,975): I'm generally not a fan of great local businesses having to close down because everyone heads to Ikea for low priced Billy Bookcases, but I have to say THANK GOD that Matter shut down their Brooklyn location because I legitimately had a stroke nearly every time I walked in that place.  EVERYTHING. SO. AWESOME. AHHHH.

2. Solstrale Vase (Ikea, $7.99): Speaking of Ikea, here's a vase that would probably cost $400 at Matter for $7.99.  Thanks, Swedes.  You'll put hardworking Americans out of work in no time.

3. Buzz Yellow C Table (CB2, $99.95): Think of the bruised knees you'll get, bumping into this table as you pull it close to you to rest your drinks on.  Personally, I like this table, but it doesn't have the functionality I need in a coffee table (aka: the ability to hold enough beer cans to sustain me through a power hour.  Don't jduge me).

4. Egg Chair (Republic of Fritz Hansen): The best way to run a website where you sell things is to make it virtually impossible to actually buy anything.  That's what we get from the Republic of Fritz Hansen (maybe I'm just naturally suspicious, but I'll be damned if that doesn't sound like a cover for a Neo Nazi uprising cell), but the chair is pretty cool, amiright?

5. Vintage Loveseat (Gardenhome): Maybe I'm just unnaturally drawn to things that look like Blanche Devereaux lost her virginity on, but this thing is quite charming, despite the fact that it's probably terribly uncomfortable.  Bring on the Mint Juleps, they'll ease the pain in your ass!

6. Barcode Dish Towel (Sprout Home, $6.99): Oh, it's just cool, right?
