Much like the fire department and the police, STFU Parents provides the world with a crucial, and oft overlooked public service: policing Facebook and the internet-at-large for totally fucking annoying and ridiculous parents. Her site is hilarious and addictive, and, unsurprisingly, there's some crazy ass shit on there. She's got "mommyjacking" stories, poop photos that will, potentially, burn your retinas, and my personal faves: "mom's gold star.

[HANGING TOUGH] Meral Akyuz

Hanging Tough is a recurring series where we feature cool shit you can hang on your walls—from original paintings from young artists to crazy tapestries that we find on some sketchy site that outsources from India, we want to ensure that your walls will never go bare.

Meral Akyuz, a painter represented by the Agora Gallery in New York, uses mixed media to create incredibly intricate and layered pieces.

I'm not trying to make crazy comparisons here, but the use of color and the linear nature of the pieces remind me of Rauschenberg, and I love me some Rauschenberg.

Ok, look: I can't afford a house in the Hamptons. And I'm a human, breathing person, so duh...of course I'd *like* to have one.

I often think that I'd like to have any vacation house really, only I'm realizing that that's not true. Cause after reading this WSJ article, I've realized I sure as fuck don't want a vacation house in Rockaway Beach.

I'm not gonna lie—I'm a Crate & Barrel kind of girl, and the wannabe models at BoConcept make me feel completely out of place.  BUT, if I were going to ditch my beloved couch from West Elm, I would suck it up and snatch this sucker in a second.  You might be thinking, "But Amanda, that particular shade of blue makes my eyes bleed" or "It doesn't really look that comfortable," I would say GET OVER IT.  Also, it's available in orange, so be glad I didn't get that one.
