[COOL SHIT] An Organized Desktop

If you're like me, your desktop normally looks like a total fucking disaster area. Sometimes I look at that shit, and then need to look away for a sec, so that my eyes can refocus and take it all in. Basically, if my desktop were a room in my hoom, you'd need to call the Health Dept on me.

Which is why I was I was so happy to find this post on Shelter Pop on organizing your desktop. I didn't even know that that was a thing that people did. But it sooo is!

And now your ass can do it too.

[DESIGN WTF] Preachy Death Clock Ashtray

Designer Anthony Michael Voz has developed a "3 Days Closer to Death" ashtray that reminds you every time you stub out a cig that you're closer to your impending doom.

I get it.  Smoking causes cancer.  But if you're so opposed, why put an ashtray out altogether? It's like having a fully stocked bar in your home and giving your guests a 45 minute lecture on the long-term damage alcohol does to your liver.

Just SHUT UP.

[Design on TV #1] Dexter

Design on TV is recurring column that allows TV fanatics to step into the world of their favorite TV shows by offering up a list of real-life items that will allow you to trick out your place in that show's signature fashion.  Some people call it an "homage." Some people call it "sick."  We call it "entertaining."

Design on TV #1: Dexter

Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Goopy & Loft-y in Nashville

As I've discussed at length, after resisting GOOP, and hating GOOP, and just generally getting angry everytime I saw the word GOOP, I now like that shit. Like a lot.

The latest edition of GOOP: Race To Renovate, is all about Gwynnie Paltrow's Nashville apartment (guess she was just shooting a movie there?), and was penned by the designer tasked with pulling all that shit together in 10 days: Annette Joseph.

Shit I Bought For Our Apartment

Ok, so I feel like I buy a lot of shit for our apartment. But, I buy a lil bit here, and a lil bit there, and I've never even actually added all this shit up, so I don't even know.

I'm gonna retroactivate this stuff to May 15 and I'm gonna track this b.s. for a year. Every single thing I buy for our apt/home will be listed. I'm thinking pretty much everything but food (appliances, decor, supplies, etc). I'm gonna throw in money we spend on services too (like paying the super to come and unclog our tub).

Should be verrrrrry inneresting.
