Outdoor In, Indoor Out

Maybe because I live in NYC, or maybe because I've just always been a "grass is always greener" type gal, but whatever the reason: I'm just always drawn to spaces that successfully integrate the outside with the inside.

I want that one day...and I want it BAD.

Having this indoor/outdoor thing in NYC is pretty much a pipe dream, wrapped inside a unicorn, perched on top of a Leprachaun's head...unless of course you're the Novogratzes, who pretty much have the coolest ass house in all of Manhattan.

The Art of Living in NYC

Ok, so duh: NYC is the best city in the world. We have the best restaurants, the best shopping, the best museums, and the best parks. But also, living here is like living NOWHERE else. And I mean that in a good and a bad way (cue the Frank Sinatra song).

[REVIEW'D] Designer Visions @The Setai

BREAKING: Real estate in NYC is ridiculously fucking expensive.

So, there's now this "thing" where new luxury apt bldgs team up with famous Interior Designers to zhush up model apartments and help potential buyers realize what is possible in their spaces. The WSJ wrote about this phenom last week (Designers Enlisted in Sales Wars). Basically this goes down becuz:

A. Buyers have no vision...EVER.

B. There's a prestige factor.

C. More people are likely going to come traipsing through the building and hopefully/maybe buy more apts.
