The last 10...

Finishing the last 10% of our apt is sort of like losing those last 10 pounds: IT'S COMPLETELY FRIGGIN IMPOSSIBLE.
At least for me. And I honestly have no clue why.
Here is a list of stuff that should have been done back when George W. Bush was president:
* There are no pulls on any of the drawers or cabinets in our kitchen. My Twitter BFF, the awesomely talented Meredith Heron even tried to help me out with this shiz all the way from Canada. And yet there they all sit...naked. Here's my problem, every pull I love costs a million dollars each (aka $50 and up). Every pull that is less than $50 I either don't like or feel meh about.
* We have no shades on our windows...we have curtains (though sidenote: I don't even like em really), but no shades. We need shades. I want different curtains. Le sigh.
* I've been meaning to get some fab FLOR carpet tiles for our bedroom...the room isn't *that* big so I want to try to create the look of faux wall to wall without the price. I typically hate wall to wall carpet with the fire of a thousand hot burning suns, however, I've recently discovered that I actually dig it in bedrooms, if the carpet is super fly.
* This one is the most embarrassing by a mile: the crappy painters who painted our kitchen, did a horrible job taping stuff up. Some of our kitchen cabs have glass in them. Some of that glass STILL has little bits of white paint on it. [NOTE: I will completely understand if you guys vow to never speak to me again over this violation. If the situation were reversed, I would pretty much immediately unfriend you on FB].
* The light fixture in our bedroom needs to be replaced. There was a fan in there, and I detest fans. So our contractor took down the fan blades, but now the light remains. Only the light doesn't work and also it's crazy ugly. So yeah, even with the lamp on in our bedroom, it pretty much always feels like a bordello.
Also, we desperately need to gut and redo our bathroom, but that's going to require thousands of dollars (i..e the same amount of money that my cabinet pulls will cost), so we need to wait on that one.
<>Maybe all you guys can just somehow shame me into fixing the rest.
