[FOR A GOOD CAUSE] Lomography Loves Japan

This week, Lomography launched a trio of Lomography Loves Japan special edition cameras to help with earthquake assistance.

The idea for these cameras was originally conceived to commemorate Japan's Golden Week, but now the cameras have taken on a whole new meaning.

Unfamiliar with Lomography?  It's how you get hipster-esque photos like you do in Instagram, but on film instead of on your iPhone.

[COOL SHIT] Canoe Home Accessories

There are many reasons why I subscribe only to men's magazines (GQ and Details, to be specific).  But the main umbrella reason is because where women's magazines are condescending to their readers, men's magazines just provide you with useful information to lead a better, more well-rounded life.

Women's magazines give you beauty tips, sex tips, and the occasional terrifying story about ovarian cancer.  "745 ways to please your man?"  I could obviously care less about that shit.

So, in this month's issue of Details, I came across Canoe, a home furnishing store based out of Portland, Oregon.

And man, do they have some cool shit.

[I'M OBSESSED] Environment Furniture

True confessions: I always thought that when I got my own apartment that I would have super-modern decor.

Sharp angles!

Glass everything!

Black everything!  Back like my heart!

Unfortunately, when it comes to design, I am finding that I have an inner hippie just begging to get out (probably because she wants some weed. Just kidding, I did that once and it was STUPID).

[COOL SHIT] Chapatti Rolling Pins

Apparently, rolling pins were historically gifted to Indian women as part of their wedding dowries.

As in, "Thanks for the rolling pin, Tushar, I'm so excited about our upcoming wedding and I guess I should make some unlevened bread now?"

CB2's Chapatti Rolling Pins ($69.95) are "one of a find," meaning that they've only got about 300 units for sale before they're gone forever.

Get on it, they're cool.

[A GIRL CAN DREAM] Matt Locke Source LA Collection

Yeah, yeah, the ORIGINAL Matlock was a show that aired during America's sudden obsession with the elderly.  After years and years of only valuing the young, the beautiful, and the braindead, TV stations started greenlighting shows starring old protagonists such as Matlock and Murder She Wrote

Because what everyone wants to watch is a bunch of cotton heads (not racist) fumble around and try to figure out murder mysteries.  If someone I know has been murdered, the last person I want on the case is someone who has a restricted driver's license, a pacemaker, and a granddaughter who is my age.

But Matlock isn't just Grampa Simpson's favorite TV show, he's also a designer out of Los Angeles who makes stuff that only dreams are made of.
