Trolling For Hook-ups On Pinterest

I'm married and old, so I don't know about these real-world type things, but my guess is: there are quite a few of you out there who are really good at trolling for action online. 

Now, duh: I know all about Grindr, and Youporn, and OK Stupid and the like, but the only place I really like to troll for action is on Pinterest.

At first I would go and carefully examine all the pins of the people who followed me--basically the online equivalent of looking someone up and done and judging them based on their ugly (or hot) shoes. But now I'm filtering my Pinterest emails cause they just got soo out of control, and it's hard to sort through them when you're as lazy as I am.  And so I try to come up with other efficient ways of looking for some hot, sexy, new Pinterest action. Here are a few: 

Think of a few things that you absolutely LOVE.

I have a few goto searches: "Kiehls original musk," "Kelly Wearstler" and "fur blanket," for example. And then search for it! You can then find other people who are pinning that same shit too!--and just maybe you'll be Pinterest love twinsies! It's definitely not fool proof, but it works pretty well. I mean, if you love K dubs too how bad could your taste really be? (don't answer that). SIDENOTE: for some reason, Pinterest search still sucks a dizzle and results can sometimes be limited (even though there are way more pins out there than they're showing. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN? Google doesn't limit my damn search results, so why do you ppl!?)

This might be kind of obvious, but I'll say it anyway: find your fave bloggers on Pinterest and then follow all the btchz they follow!

If you love someone's blog like a fat kid loves cake, chances are you'll love all the people they're following too. I sometimes feel semi cheesy as I'm doing this, but I do it anyway. I usually go down their list while a soundtrack like this plays in my head: "follow, follow, follow, follow, eh, follow, eh, follow, hunh? follow, follow" 

Find people that have pinned stuff from your blog and follow them!

I'm guessing everyone knows how to check this by now, but juuuust in case, here's what you do. Go to Pinterest and type this shit into your address bar: http://pinterest.com/source/designblahg.com/ Only instead of designblahg.com put your fancy lil URL in there. Aside from finding fans of your blog, this is also a killer way to see which pics on your blog are getting the most action (speaking of action).
