[CATALOGGED] Crate & Barrel: Spring 2010

Crate and Barrel's Spring 2010 catalog just arrived and apparently, the theme of this season is ORANGE.  Orange vases, orange couches, orange pillows—orange EVERYTHING.  Listen, I like bright colors, and I like orange—it's retro and fun—but I don't want my apartment to look like I'm living inside a goddamned tangerine.

[COOL SHIT] Image Kind

Ok, so there are some seriously killer resources out there these days for cheap, chic art (20x200 and etsy immediately come to mind), but I recently discovered another online option that I'm kind of loving the shit out of: Image Kind.

Image Kind is from the folks at Cafe Press, and basically allows any artist to upload their work and sell it at different sizes, with different framing options. You get to choose the type of paper its printed on, can order mattes, custom frames, OR just get a print.

Now word of warning: you'll get to the front page and you will probably see a bunch of stuff you'd expect to see framed in the home goods section of Marshalls. But keep pressing on!

Decornographer: Another Fucking Word I Should Have Come Up With And Didn't

I'm so disappointed in myself.

First I failed to come up with AYFKMWTS. And now, I didn't think of decornographer. I srsly suck.

Anyway, this post from Jezebel (The New Decornographers: Bloggers With Perfect, Beautiful, Craftsy Lives) kind of ruled in that it gave voice to that creeping feeling most of us have about not quite measuring up to those wonderfully talented, creative, designer-y, bloggers who are constantly doing shit like making homemade pickled ginger and re-purposing old Ralph Lauren sweaters into a hopelessly chic baby blanket.

[RULEZ] Efferdent

Casa Sugar has a whole post on 5 surprising things you can do with Efferdent, and BUH-LEEV me, there is some good stuff in here (drop two tablets into your disgusting toilet and voila!), but they forgot one and its a biggie: use efferdent to clean your wedding ring!

BOOM!

Srsly, I cannot convey to you the amazingness of Efferdent as a jewelry cleaner. I like to heat up some water in the micro (not sure why, I just like to use warm water) and then drop an Eff tablet in. I then plop my wedding and engagment rings into the blue soup and let em sit for a few minutes.
