Oh yeah, and don't forget about the Hester Street Fair AND the Brooklyn Flea (Nick Olsen et al)

*I want a house in Italy one day...for realzies (The Style Files).

*The Sartorialist hit up Crosby Street, which is around the corner from my office. NOTE TO SELF: I need to brush my hair my often (The Sartorialist).

*If I still lived in LA, my ass would soooo be at Legends of La Cienega this weekend (also, listen to the xx) (Beach Bungalow 8).

9 By Design: ANOTHER House Tour

Just in case you haven't gotten enough of Cortney-n-Robert Novogratz's OMFG house on the West Side Hwy yet on their new show 9 By Design, their spread in Living, Etc or their interactive NY Times piece, Apartment Therapy has a house tour!

While I normally dig the house tours on AT, it looks like it was kind of rainy day when they went over, so the pics are really just meh for me.

Though also I will never, ever, never, ever, EVER get sick of looking at pics of this house as I want to move in, lick the walls, and make sweet love to it all day and ALL night.

[BODEGA FLOWERS] Hot Pink Carnations

Twice a month, I'll take you on a journey...a journey to your bodega. We will buy flowers there. These flowers will cost less than $20 smackers. I will arrange them for you, (all by my damn self) and hopefully, they won't look ghey. Maybe you'll join me one day. If not, whatevs. On tap this week: Hot pink carnations!

Ok, so everyone usually hates the shit out of carnations, and I mostly get it. When you compare a carnation to a peony, it looks like a homeless person. BUT, here's the thing: 1. carnations are cheap as shit AND 2. carnations are hearty. Those fuckers could practically survive a nuclear winter.

[DEAR DIARY] The 5 Stages of GOOP

Much like an actual death, my relationship with GOOP, Gwyneth Paltrow's weekly know-it-all-y email, has evolved and grown through a variety of stages. Through this process, I've made a lot of mistakes, and learned much about myself.

I know that I really need to just take each day as it comes and grow from this experience, and so I thought it might be helpful for me to share with you the tricks and tips I've picked up along the way, in case you too are struggling with the same sorts of things.

COOL OR NOT COOL: Painting Parties?

So I read about ths shit in Casa Sugar yesterday and I gotta say: I think this is LAME with a capital EL.

The idea is that you're supposed to rope your "friends" into coming over and painting your whole damn place by sending out cute invites and having snacks and drinks for everyone on hand!? Oh also you need to make sure that you have enough supplies and can't forget to take pics of all the painting fun!
