[THINGS IN HIS HOUSE THAT MAKE ME SAD] Low Beds

There are many things in his apartment that make Anna Goldfarb from Shmitten Kitten sad (sometimes glad, but mostly sad). She's promised to tell us all about them (yay!).

If I roll over and am eye-level with your shoes, it's a problem. I hate this low bed. It's useless! I am not a fan of kneeling down to go to sleep. I like a normal bed at least a few feet off the ground. That's just me. If you can't stash a plastic bin from the Container Store under your bed, it's too low!

I'm not sure if you have something against box springs or have a fear of heights or what, but this low bed is bumming me out.

Cool or Not Cool: Pets on Furniture?

It's kind of fascinating when you start to uncover all the different rules people have for their pets:

* "Minnie is allowed on the den couch, but not on the Living Room couch. And she can go up on the kids' beds but not on my bed."

* "Smoky can rock out wherever he wants...EXCEPT for our bed. That's a no fly zone"

* "Luna isn't allowed on any of our furniture. Dogs used to sleep on the ground in the cold...he doesn't need to ruin my Chesterfield."

Whoa...Luna's mom is kind of a bitch.

[COOL SHIT] Noisy Dog Studio Pet Portraits

So, duh: there are like a bajillion and one pet portrait artists out there these days. And I'm sure loads of them are super talented and paint pretty pictures of all your puppies-n-shit, but my favorite, favorite-ist, very fave-y pet portrait artist that I've come across through the years is Leigh from Noisy Dog Studio, and she's having a gigantic sale right now!

Leigh has been featured all over the place, from Design Sponge to Domino Magazine (cue tear to slowly roll down my cheek, I miss you Domino!), and trust me: her shit RULEZ. I'm lucky enough to have had Leigh paint a portrait of Oliver and if our apt caught on fire, this is like one of the first things I'd grab.
