[9 BY DESIGN RECAP] Episode 8: Selling Point

It's so haaaaaaard to say goodbyeeeeeeee to yesterdAAAAAAAAAAAY.

Yes ppl, it's true: as if the Lost finale wasn't hard enough, our asses now gotta deal with a Novo-less summer. Tonight's ep of 9 By Design was the end of Season One, and I for one, have a major sad face. Shit I might even miss Dave Barry (actually, sorry: I just tried, and that's not possible).

Anyway, so yeah.

We came, we saw, we stole an Ann Carrington flag.

[WHO GIVES A SHIT?] Judging A Book By Its Cover

Look: I appreciate the original sentiment behind the idea of NOT judging a book by its cover but here's the thing: I ALWAYS JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Like I mean A-L-W-A-Y-S.

And, quite frankly, the idea that I shouldn't be judging a book by its cover is sort of annoying to me now. Cause I think if you are writing a book, you best be spending a fuckload of time with your publisher making sure your cover looks kick-ass. Foo-king Pissed

Have you ever had your style ripped off? It happens to me every now and then and it. is. irritating. I'm not claiming to be any type of design genius. Unfortunately, when it comes to my taste in interiors, I'm above average but below exceptional. This means that I don't have enough talent to make a living as a designer, just enough sense to hate ugly shit. It's a frustrating place to be in. I'm just ahead of the curve - I'll envision something specific that I want for my home and painstakingly search for it. Then, two years later, it's everywhere, everyone has it, and I don't even want it anymore. Gar.

WANNA BLOG HARD? OR JUST SEE ME MAKE AN ASS OF MYSELF?

So, despite the fact that I have no clue what I'm doing half the time,  I *do* always try to stay true to the mantra: Blog Hard.

Which is why I'm sort of stoked to be on a panel during Internet Week NY like this one: Blog Hard: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of Online Publishing.

It's hosted by the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and will be going down on Thursday, June 10 at 9am.
