Sometimes I'm blown away by how shitty apps for the iPad or the iPhone end up looking. I think Apple is known for paying a LOT of attention to design and aesthetics, and anyone who designs an iPad or iPhone app that doesn't do the same really bugs me. Susan from House of Brinson and I decided to brave the snowy NYC city streets yesterday to hit up Bloomingdales and Sephora and try to get ourselves out of our existing make-up ruts.

Screw Resolutions...I've Got A 2011 Wishlist

Ok, so resolutions kind of annoy me. I mean, I love the *idea* of them, but I also feel like the second you get yourself off tack, then the whole resolution thing starts to feel like a big failure...and then my tendency is just to scrap the whole damn thing.

So this year, I'm creating a wishlist. It's not a life list, in that I don't need to tick these things off. However, this is my way of telling the universe: 'HEY UNIVERSE: IT WOULD BE SO FUCKING RAD IF YOU MADE THESE THINGS HAPPEN! EVEN JUST A LITTLE BIT!'

[COOKED] The Smoking Gun

I've spoken extensively about my obsession with all things grilling-related.  The only problem, of course, is that I live in New York City, where private outdoor areas are reserved only for the especially rich and especially douchey.

Not one who likes to give up or miss out on anything, this bullshit pisses me off.  Like, since I have Broadway plays and endless options for Thai food, I should be okay having to give up cooking with flavor.  I DON'T THINK SO.
