I don’t know what it is about brass that draws me to it?...especially when I used to h-a-t-e it. It’s one of those things my Grandmother used to make us us clean, and she had a lot of it! But now, I love it--it’s something that I can’t explain. I just LOVE IT. Especially this vintage chest of drawers from Lawson Fenning: made of wood, brass sheet overlay and copper nailheads.

[I'M OBSESSED] Etsy Emails

Ok, so while I love the shit out of Etsy, I don't really love the normal search process on the site. And its not really their fault! Cause they've gone out of their way to give us about a billion diff ways to search from keyword, to location, to color to everything in between. But I *still* find that shit hard and frustrating, particularly when you're not exactly sure what you're looking for and you can only type in a general search term.

So, that's why I subscribe to a few of Etsy's fab daily emails and I really love them SO HARD.I almost always come across something fab, and I even save them in an "etsy" folder in my gmail inbox, in case I want to go back and browse later on. Even if I'm not ready to buy something at that very moment, I try to always take the opp to "favorite" items and stores so that I can go back at some other time when I'm not poor.

And believe it or not, ppl: Etsy is not even payin my ass to say this. I just heart them.

[I'M OBSESSED] Art Needlepoint

I've mentioned my needlepoint obsesh before.

Back 10 years or so ago when everyone was obsessed with knitting, I jumped on that train for a quick minute. But it didn't take me long to walk right back into the warm open embrace of my one true love: NEEDLEPOINT.

I haven't been doing much of it on my own recently because I've been too damn busy buying vintage needlepoint canvases off of eBay. But I think that's all about to change now that I've found Art Needlepoint.

My main issue with needlepoint has always been that, in general, the canvases just suck a dizzle.

[I'M OBSESSED] Bridges

We've been driving to NJ a lot lately, which has given us the opportunity to travel over some new (to me) bridges. I'm not sure why, but I LOVE THE SHIT out of bridges.

I've taken to photographing as many of them as I can with my phone and, quite frankly, I can't get enough. I take a photo of the view going over the Manhattan Bridge several times a week from my Q or N train on my way home, and I *still* marvel it at almost every day.

But up until now, the Brooklyn Bridge has always been my fave. It's so graceful and elegant and, of course, holds a very special place in my heart because I love Brooklyn so damn hard. I also love that its so easily walkable, allowing you to explore its every nook and cranny and experience its breathtaking views from so many different angles.

However, mama's got a new crush, and even I'm surprised by it: The Bayonne Bridge.

Michaelangelo's David. Versailles. Those bitches have NOTHING on Gwyneth Paltrow's Tribeca kitchen. I think this might be the most beautiful space I've ever seen in my whole life...like e-v-e-r.

Yes I have a white obsesh...and a marble obsesh, and so clearly this shit is like a Playboy spread pour moi.
